Mohawk Valley Association of REALTORS® Raises $750 for Evelyn’s House

At the Mohawk Valley Association of REALTORS® (MVAR) annual REALTOR® Safety event, sponsored by the MVAR Education Committee and held this year on September 22 at the Fort Schuyler Club, members entered a raffle to win one of two InvisiWear® safety keychains, with proceeds of the raffle to assist ICAN’s Evelyn’s House. Including matched funds from the Association, MVAR members raised a total $750 and presented the check to Evelyn’s House Housing Manager Rosetta St. Peter and ICAN’s Director of Transitional Services Lisa Reginelli on October 27, 2022. 

About Evelyn’s House

Evelyn’s House, a program of ICAN, is a joint transitional and rapid rehousing program for homeless young women, aged 16-24, who are pregnant and/or parenting. They provide a safe, nurturing home with supportive services and community resources for these young women and their children during and after pregnancy, so they can become empowered during this transitional life moment. The Mohawk Valley Association of REALTORS® was first chartered in 1915 as the Utica Real Estate Board and later merged with both the Herkimer & Rome Boards. In 2012, it became the Mohawk Valley Association of REALTORS® (MVAR).
