Our Programs

Welcome to the Integrated Community Alternatives Network, ICAN! We strive to empower children, families and individuals who have high service needs, to enable them to live in ways that are productive and healthy, and to keep families together.

Our reach extends to families and individuals living in many of the counties in Central New York, including Oneida, Herkimer, Montgomery, Madison, Oswego, Otsego and beyond. At ICAN, we know that with our help, you CAN overcome certain life challenges and transitions, and meet your goals.

    Kids Oneida is our flagship program for home-based mental health services for children, built on the National Wraparound Initiative and program design.

    For adults living with chronic medical conditions, HIV/AIDS and/or have a serious mental illness, our Adult Care Management program strives to provide community resources to assist in improving physical and mental health.

    Since 2015, we have been utilizing our KEY program to teach young adults transitional life skills. “KEY,” which is an acronym for “Knowledge Empowers You,” is a powerful, comprehensive life skills program.

    Home and Community Based Services (HCBS)
    When ICAN launched our Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) in 2017, we knew these supports were needed. We soon discovered just how needed in-home care for children and adults was. HCBS has grown to be one of ICAN’s largest programs, reaching over 205 people across four counties this year.

    (CFTSS)Child and Family Treatment and Support Services are new behavioral services covered by NYS Medicaid.

    It is the goal of Street Outreach to locate street homeless individuals to connect them to services and assist them with finding housing.

    Helps teens develop strong social-emotional skills, learn to build healthy relationships, avoid risky behaviors, and develop a sense of purpose.

    SNUG uses a public health approach and works to reduce gun violence by mediating conflicts with the individuals at the highest risk of shooting or being shot.
