• Chief Operations Officer

    Integrated Community Alternatives Network (ICAN), a Community-based Wraparound provider of Social and Mental Health services with emphasis on treating the client in a family context, is currently seeking innovative and experienced applicants to fill the Full-Time position of Chief Operations Officer (COO).  

    The COO is responsible for the management and oversight of day to day operations as well as Human Resources, Facilities, Maintenance, Transportation and other administrative functions of the organization. The COO is an integral part of the executive leadership team and will be engaged in ensuring the day to day administrative direction of the organization’s operations.  The COO will serve as the central figure in assisting the executive leadership team in the future development of business plans to promote future growth.  Promotes the philosophy and mission of the agency by performing the following duties.

    • Oversees multiple agency directors and their department’s operations to ensure high performance, compliance, and quality.
    • Oversees and maintains organizational structure to ensure departments and in turn staffing are effective in attaining organizational mission.
    • Provides proactive leadership in the development, support and achievement of objectives identified in growth focused business plans.
    • Reinforces agencies culture to ensure strong staff relationships and a family first work place that ensures high quality client care.
    • Ensures effectiveness of agency’s human resources by providing oversite and direction to the Director of Human Resources.
    • Establish a work environment that creates positive communication between supervisors and employees.
    • Monitors and evaluates the organizational effectiveness, and designs and implements strategies to ensure continued agency success.
    • Responsible for management of agency’s facilities, maintenances and transportation through oversite and direction to the applicable director.
    • Establish and maintain processes and systems for tracking, evaluation and reporting of operational plans.
    • Provides feedback to the CEO/Executive Director in regard to the operational climate of the organization to ensure continued agency success.
    • Attends and actively participates in the agency’s executive team meetings.
    • Prepares and maintains the timely completion of necessary reports to the CEO/Executive Director, Board of Directors and regulatory agencies and funding sources as required.
    • Maintains professional and consistent communication techniques across all mediums.
    • Additional duties may be assigned, on an as needed basis.
    • Develops and maintains an effective company through the selection, termination, training, compensation, review and motivation of direct reports.
    • Develops and maintains a program for high performance standards and sound employee relations at all levels of the company.
    • Provides guidance and direction to employees to assist them in their professional development.
    • Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four-year College or University in an area germane to the requirements of the position; with a minimum of five years of senior-leadership experience successfully supervising, motivating, and encouraging staff members and have the ability to motivate and sustain successful work teams.
    • Experience as a strong relationship builder and communicator with experience leading diverse work teams, developing strategy for program excellence, and engaging community partners a must.
