ICAN Receives 2025 Mohawk Valley GEAR Award through the CNY Business Journal

We are honored to have been awarded the CNY Business Journal’s Mohawk Valley Gear Award for Growth, Energy and Revitalization.

In large part because we know our vision of Keeping Families Together not only requires everyone but also the ability to see the bigger picture AND think outside the box. We are thankful of the recognition of our bold vision that incorporates the Utica Children's Museum, Elevate CNY Sports Complex and ICAN to further our mission of empowering individuals and families.

The NEW museum full of modern and exciting exhibits that celebrate the Mohawk Valley’s history, culture and more. Located in our Family Resource Center it brings even more families in contact with ICAN’s mission to further reduce the stigma of asking for help! This has so many benefits - the community benefits from an exciting space for families, the museum can now compete with for-profit play places and it will serve as an economic driver for the area in a variety of ways.

AND…

For over two years we have been working with Elevate CNY to create a space and programming that is great for kids and families while also letting them see what services ICAN offers. Sport have a huge impact on children and adult's mental health already so when you combine that with extra focus on creating a safe, healthy and inclusive space for everyone you can make real changes for the athletes and their families in our community.
