Vice President of School Innovations
ICAN Vice Presidents provide strategic leadership across multiple programs or operational functions. This role translates agency strategy into coordinated action, ensures quality and compliance, and is accountable for outcomes, staff leadership, fiscal oversight, and mission alignment.
The Vice President of School Innovations – Regional Districts is responsible for oversight of ICAN’s regional school-based service portfolio (all districts outside UCSD), ensuring scalable implementation, quality outcomes, fiscal stewardship, and sustainable growth through strong district partnerships.
This position integrates business development, government relations, strategic partnerships, and community systems collaboration to expand ICAN’s reach and impact.
This is an exempt position. The salary range for this position is $115,000- $130,000, with the final offer based on education, experience, and job-related qualifications. This role is also eligible for performance-based bonus compensation.

- Consistent implementation standards across districts
- Improved attendance, discipline, engagement, and special education outcomes
- Operational reliability and documentation compliance
- Manage portfolio budgets and monthly variance reviews. Support pricing and scope development for contracts.
- Ensure allowable cost tracking and documentation. Identify and leverage grant and district funding opportunities.
- Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and Special Education Directors
- BOCES leadership and stakeholder groups
- Community partners and referral networks
Education/Experience
- BA/BS required; Master’s preferred
- 5+ years leadership experience in school-based programming
- Contract management and team supervision experience
- Experience scaling and standardizing service models
- Strong relationship management skills
